Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 January, a delegation from the Japanese Ministry of Justice, headed by the Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Takeshi Matsumoto, visited the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the parties held a meeting and discussed the further development of cooperation between the ministries.

A Cooperation Program for 2024-2026 was also signed with the aim of deepening cooperation and achieving concrete results.

The program stipulates cooperation in the development of draft regulatory documents, increasing legal awareness and legal activity of citizens, protecting human rights, protecting intellectual property, as well as introducing information and communication technologies in the field of notaries and registry offices.

The parties expressed their intention to hold various events that would promote the exchange of experience and strengthen friendly ties in the field of justice and law.

Japanese representatives highly appreciated the reforms and progress achieved in Uzbekistan in the field of human rights protection, notaries, legal services and public services, as well as digitalization of the activities of justice authorities.
