Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A concert will be held in Tashkent with the participation of Spanish guitarist Daniel Casares and violinist Ines Maro Burgos Babakhanyan.

The concert is organized by the Embassy of Spain in the Republic of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan and the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, as part of the celebration of the National Day of Spain and the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The event will be held on 30 October at the Turkiston Palace of Arts.

The concert program included the legendary Aranjuez concert by the Spanish guitar genius Joaquín Rodrigo, the first concert for guitar and symphony orchestra in musical history. In addition, the premiere performance in Uzbekistan of Daniel Casares’s original work “Capote de seda” (“The Bullfighter’s Silk Cloak”) will be presented to a demanding public.

Daniel Casares began playing guitar at the age of eight. Studying at the Malaga Conservatory gave him the necessary key skills to grow as a performer and composer and ensured his place among the best flamenco guitarists. He has been awarded the Latin Entertainment Critics Association Music Revelation Award (New York, 2005), the Miguel Acala Award for Best Flamenco Artist (2005), the National Guitar Award (Hospitalet de Llobregat, 1999), the Bordón Minero Guitar Award " (Murcia, 1997) and the National Guitar Award (Jaén, 1996).

However, beyond all the awards in the world, there is the essence of the profession - the constant work of an artist, and Casares proves this by sharing the stage with world famous artists such as Lorina McKennitt, Toquinho, Dulce Pontes, Chucho Valdez, Cecilia Bartoli and Alejandro Sanz.

Fourteen-year-old Ines Maro Burgos will perform Felix Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor (Op. 64), accompanied by an orchestra. Ines was born in Madrid in 2009. From early childhood she showed outstanding abilities in music. At the age of four, Ines began learning to play the violin, and from the age of 5 she began singing in the choir of the Royal Opera House in Madrid, having the honor of being the youngest ever to join the choir. 

At the age of 10, she was accepted into the Yehudi Menuhin School in London and then made her debut at the National Auditorium of Spain under the direction of conductor Pascual Osa. She has won prizes at the International Ilona Feher Competition in Budapest and the Grumiaux Competition in Brussels. She won the national competition for young talents in Estepona in Spain, participated in master classes with Leonidas Kavakos, Li Lin and Lucy Lin, and studied with Ann Setzer, Sergei Fatkulin, Lucia Ibragimova and Akiko Ono.
