Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A driver of a Cobalt car in Tashkent hit a girl who, along with her friend, was crossing the street in an unauthorized place.

The incident occurred on 3 June on Ahmad Yugnaki Street in Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent, according to the press service of the Tashkent police.

Dashcam footage shows the car hitting the girl who suddenly appeared in its lane from behind other cars that were letting the two girls pass.

After the collision, the girl was thrown several meters away. Her friend managed to stop in time.

The police noted that the girls were crossing the street in an unauthorized place, despite a traffic light and pedestrian crossing being nearby.

The girl was hospitalized with injuries. An investigation is ongoing.
