A Chinese company plans to produce EVA granules and shoes in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Within the working visit of the delegation of the Uzcharmsanoat association to China, negotiations were held with representatives of the Jinjiang Jiarun Plastics and Rubber company on the issue of establishing the production of EVA granules and shoes made from it in Uzbekistan.

Jinjiang Jiarun Plastics and Rubber was founded in China in 2014. Today it has manufacturing plants in China, Ethiopia, Sudan and Egypt. The company also supplies EVA shoe soles to Timberland, Skechers, Brooks, Clarks and UGG. The company operates a shoe manufacturing plant in Colombia. Currently, Jinjiang Jiarun Plastics and Rubber exports its products to South America, Africa, Gulf countries and South Asian countries.

During the meeting, the Association delegation introduced representatives of the Chinese company with information on several areas, such as reforms being implemented in our country in the leather and footwear industry, production processes, opportunities and conditions created for foreign investors, customs and tax incentives, and logistics.

At the meeting, the Chinese company said it expects its export performance to decline in the coming years, and the main reason is that countries that currently export raw materials are starting their own production of EVA granules. For this reason, the company seeks to direct its capital to new markets.

During the negotiations, the head of the company announced his readiness to create a new production enterprise based on partnership with enterprises of Uzbekistan. He also put forward initiatives to implement training programs for specialists in this direction. As noted, the new project will be implemented entirely on the basis of Chinese technology. The company will supply technologists and engineers.

As a result of the dialogue, the parties agreed to sign an agreement with Uzbek enterprises that are ready to cooperate with the company at the international shoe exhibition in Jinjiang this year.
