Flight HY273 on the route Tashkent-Istanbul on 26 April ended with the birth of a child on board. Childbirth began on approach to Istanbul.

Passenger Sitora A. born in 1996 turned to the flight attendants with complaints of poor health. The foreman, assessing the situation, asked the doctors on board to respond over the speakerphone. Sometime later, a boy was born to the passenger at the 28th week of pregnancy.

After a safe landing, the medical personnel of the Istanbul International Airport boarded the plane. The mother and the newborn were transported to the clinic, their condition is assessed as stable.
