Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Presidential Decree “On the annulling of certain tax and customs privileges” was adopted.

In accordance with the Decree, it is established that:

the privileges provided for by acts of tax legislation on taxes do not apply to social tax, unless they expressly specify the exemption from this tax;

VAT exemptions on purchased works (services) from non-resident legal entities of Uzbekistan do not apply to works (services) provided by non-resident legal entities operating in Uzbekistan through permanent establishments.

Moreover, according to the Decree, a number of decrees and resolutions of the President have been amended and a number of tax benefits have been abolished.

In particular, starting from January 1, 2021, the norm on not including in the taxable income of members of young families the amount of wages and other taxable income allocated to repay mortgages and the interest accrued on them for the construction, reconstruction and purchase of individual housing is repealed houses or apartments in an apartment building, established by Presidential Decree № DP-3878.

The decree comes into force on October 1, 2020.
