Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation S. Buzrukhonov held a meeting with representatives of the Korea Climate Change Institute (KICC). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The sides discussed a project to create in Uzbekistan of organization, working in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy – the Center for Enhancement of Knowledge and Skills of Energy Sector Professionals on Renewable Energy.

The center is being created on the territory of Ajou University in Tashkent, and will help meet the need for qualified personnel, further improve the direction of energy saving and bioenergy in Uzbekistan, and ensure the stability of the energy system of our republic. The possibility of creating such centers in other universities of our republic at the next stage was also considered.

The parties expressed confidence that the launch of this project will be another practical step in the fight against climate change.
