Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A government resolution “On the establishment of a specialized boarding school for operatic art” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, from the 2021/2022 academic year on the basis of the children’s music school and art school No. 24 of the city of Nukus, Republic of Karakalpakstan, a specialized boarding school for opera will be created.

Additional buildings and structures will be built for the boarding school, including a dormitory for 100 places and a kitchen, an additional educational building for 120 places.

The boarding school is a state specialized educational institution within the system of the Ministry of Culture.

In the 2021/2022 academic year, 25 students will be admitted on a competitive basis to grades 5, 6 and 7, and from the 2022/2023 academic year from grade 5.
