Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 April, a roundtable was held with the participation of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Central Bank, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, as well as the Association of Builders and Developers, during which the draft law on shared housing construction was discussed.

The document was developed in accordance with the Presidential Decree No. PF-11 of January 27, 2025, and is aimed at improving the mechanisms for attracting funds from individuals and legal entities for the construction of multi-apartment buildings and other real estate.

The bill consists of 14 chapters and 46 articles. It regulates the procedure for participation in construction, establishes the powers of government bodies, the rights and duties of developers, participants in shared construction, and commercial banks, and also defines the procedure for working with escrow accounts.

During the discussion, developers presented proposals for addressing practical issues. It was noted that these suggestions would be taken into account when refining the law. Participants agreed to continue regular dialogue between government structures and the private sector to develop the housing construction sector and ensure the effective regulation of shared construction.
