Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 26 September, the director of the National Agency for Social Protection, Mansurbek Olloyorov, and the head of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) office in Uzbekistan, Munir Mammadzade, signed a joint Work Plan until the end of 2023.
The work plan contains the development of such strategically significant documents as the draft Laws “On Social Work” and “On the Protection of Children from All Forms of Violence”, the Deinstitutionalization Strategy, the Code of Ethics for Social Workers, the Professional Standard of Social Workers, as well as a number of service standards for families and children and social worker training programs.
The plan until the end of the year included various areas of work to increase the capacity of social workers, improve the social protection system for children and persons with disabilities, as well as digitalization.
