Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan is looking for a scammer who deceived a 14-year-old teenager and did not give him a purchased profile in the PUBG game.
According to the Investigation Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a 16-year-old resident of Kattakurgan district put his profile in the PUBG game for sale for US$7,000 on social networks.
A 14-year-old teenager from Tashkent agreed to purchase a profile and transferred US$4,450 to the “seller's” bank card. However, the profile was never handed over to the buyer.
As it turned out, the fraudster from Samarkand region spent the funds received on his personal needs.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under the article "Fraud using information technology." The investigation continues.
