80 Uzbek citizens sent to work in South Korea violated the terms of their employment contracts

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  In the first half of 2024, 80 citizens of Uzbekistan sent to work in South Korea violated the terms of their employment contracts.

As a result, their guarantors, mostly close relatives, were fined a total of more than 2.3 billion soums.

The Agency for External Labor Migration reminded that each worker signs a tripartite agreement before departure.

According to the terms of this agreement, in the event of unauthorized leave from work and subsequent illegal employment abroad, the guarantor is fined 2,000 US dollars for each month the violator remains in the foreign country.

Authorities urge citizens traveling abroad for work to responsibly adhere to the contract terms in order to avoid financial risks for their relatives and to maintain trust in labor migration as a legal and reliable means of employment.
