7.9 magnitude quake hits Nepal
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A 7.9 magnitude earthquake rocked Nepal, toppling homes, temples and historic buildings and killing thousands of people, on 24 April.

The earthquake took place at 06.11 UTC time (11.11 Tashkent time). The epicenter was 82 km away to north-west of Kathmandu, capital of Nepal.

Number of killed people in the result of earthquake exceeds 1,500 people. Many houses and buildings were destroyed. Over 1,700 people were wounded. It is expected that number of victims will grow.

The earthquakes were also felt in India, Bangladesh and Tibet. About 45 people died in India. There were also victims in Bangladesh.
