Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution on measures to develop sports infrastructure and organize the effective use of sports grounds in mahallas.

The document approves the general parameters for the construction of 5 thousand universal, streetball and workout sports grounds until 2030 for the combined teams of mahallas that have become winners and prize-winners of the Five Initiatives Olympics and do not have sports infrastructure on their territory.

The customer of the project will be the Department for the Execution of Punishments under the Ministry of Internal Affairs,

general contractor - institution for the execution of punishment No. 13.

For all citizens, the use of sports grounds will be free and the time of using them is not limited (on the territory of educational organizations - during extracurricular time).

The targeted use of sports grounds will be monitored by youth leaders in mahallas and prevention inspectors.
