Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The 32nd meeting of the heads of canine services of the customs authorities of the CIS member states was held in Bishkek, with active participation from the Uzbek delegation led by F. Kakhkhorov, Director of the National Canine Center of the Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, participants discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation, exchange experience, and implement modern approaches in the work of canine services.

Several documents were signed as part of the event. Notably, from October 20 to 24 this year, the National Canine Center of the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan will host an international practical seminar on training service dogs to detect narcotics at border customs posts. This highlights the growing international reputation of the Uzbek center, achieved through the Customs Committee’s focus on developing the canine sector.

The meeting also included an international practical seminar where Colombian expert and international cynologist Jonathan Hernandez shared his experience in training service dogs and advanced methodologies in the field.

Additionally, a bilateral meeting between the heads of the canine services of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan took place, resulting in the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The agreement opens new opportunities for experience exchange, joint practical training, and the introduction of modern methods for training service dogs between the two countries.
