11th Meeting of the Uzbekistan–Belarus Intergovernmental Commission Held in Minsk
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The 11th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus was held in Minsk under the co-chairmanship of Ochilboy Ramatov, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, and Yuri Shuleiko, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus.
Khalimjon Safarov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, also participated in the meeting.
In 2024, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Belarus reached US$620.1 million, marking a 14.8% increase compared to the previous year. Uzbekistan’s exports to Belarus primarily consisted of industrial goods, finished products, foodstuffs, and transport equipment. Conversely, Belarusian exports to Uzbekistan were dominated by food products, engineering goods, chemical products, and industrial raw materials.
The session addressed key areas of bilateral cooperation, including industrial collaboration, transport connectivity, agriculture, interregional partnerships, healthcare, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening trade and economic cooperation. A final protocol of the 11th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission was signed.
