On 2 August 2019, Almaty (Kazakhstan) hosted a historic event in the life of the Asian triathlon –the Second Congress of the Central Asian Triathlon Association (Central Asian Triathlon Association - CATA).
A government resolution has been adopted “On measures for the construction, reconstruction and overhaul of sports facilities and the strengthening of their material and technical base in children and youth sports schools, secondary schools of the republic in 2020-2024”.
International judo tournament from the Grand Prix series ended in the city of Zagreb, Croatia. The bouts in the heavy weight category ended successfully for our team.
The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan received an official invitation to the XXXII Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo. The invitation was sent personally by Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee.
At present, all combined teams of Uzbekistan jointly conduct thorough preparations for the Tokyo Olympic Games. On 27 July, a meeting was held at the National Olympic Committee, in which the first report of the scientific and methodological center, which was established by the NOC, was presented.

Zagreb Grand Prix judo tournament reached its climax. Our compatriot Sharofiddin Lutfillaev, who fought in the weight category up to 60 kg, became the winner of this tournament.
Asia’s taekwondo championship among juniors ended in the capital of Jordan, Amman. The national team of Uzbekistan participated in these competitions in full composition, and our taekwondo fighters won 2 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals.
