Andijan, Kashkadarya regions record highest growth of industrial output in 2009

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Andijan and Kashkadarya regions recorded the highest growth of industrial output in Uzbekistan in 2009, the Uzbek State Statistics Committee said.

The growth of industrial output in 2009 in these regions made up 18.9% and 16.6% respectively.

In money terms, leaders were Tashkent city (4.415 trillion soums), Kashkadarya region (4.082 trillion soums) and Andijan region (3.554 trillion soums).

The lowest volume of industrial output was registered in Syrdarya region (312.8 billion soums), Jizzakh region (314.1 billion soums) and Karakalpakstan (346.4 billion soums).

As earlier reported, industrial output of Uzbekistan made up 28.009 trillion soums, or grew by 9% year-on-year in 2009.
