Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In April 2024, under the leadership of the director of the National Medical Research Center for Pediatric Traumatology and Orthopedics named after G.I. Turner of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Sergei Vissarionov, an international team of doctors together with specialists from the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics (Tashkent) successfully performed a complex operation that had not previously been performed in Uzbekistan. The patient was a 1.5-year-old baby Samir, suffering from severe congenital spinal pathology - scoliosis.

During the operation, which was successful, surgeons used modern technologies and techniques developed within the framework of the Union State program.

The child had a Russian-made metal structure installed. The treatment allowed the child to get rid of pain and other negative consequences of the deformity, and also gave him every chance of a normal healthy life in the future.
