What are the tasks of the commission for changing the category of the land fund

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 222 of 30 May 2023 approved the Regulation on the establishment of a Government Commission to consider changes in the land fund of land categories intended for agriculture and forestry, Norma reports.

The regulation envisages:

preparation of proposals for changing the category of lands of agricultural and forestry funds and the development of a land management project for a land plot;

consideration of proposals to change the category of agricultural and forestry lands;

rejection of proposals to change the category of land and preparation of conclusions of the working body. The working body may reject the proposals of district (city) administrations in the following cases:

fertile irrigated lands are of particular value and the fertility of their soils is above the average score for the region;

forest fund lands are covered with forest;

the lands were given for use and not taken into the reserve of the district administration;

development and adoption of the conclusions of the working body of the Government Commission on the issue of changing the categories of land.
