Issues of attracting Polish investments and the latest technologies to the Uzbek market were discussed
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 2 December 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov held talks with State Secretary of the Ministry of Development and Technology of Poland, Government Plenipotentiary Representative for Foreign Investments, Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) on Economic Cooperation Grzegorz Piechowiak.
Issues of further expansion of partnership in the trade and economic sphere, attraction of Polish investments and the latest technologies to the Uzbek market were discussed.
It was noted with satisfaction that in January-September 2022, the volume of trade increased by 42%, and over the past three years, the number of joint ventures created in Uzbekistan with the participation of Polish capital has doubled.
The parties confirmed their mutual readiness to continue joint work to intensify economic diplomacy, in particular within the framework of the Uzbek-Polish IGC. In this context, the need to hold a meeting of the Commission and a business forum next year was emphasized.
An exchange of views took place on the implementation of mutually beneficial projects in the field of textiles and digitalization.
