Argentina beat Australia to advance to World Cup quarter-finals

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Argentina defeated Australia with a score of 2:1 and reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup in Qatar.

Lionel Messi (35th minute) and Julián Alvarez (57th) scored for Argentina. Enzo Fernandez netted an own goal in the 77th minute.

In the quarterfinals of the World Cup, Argentina will meet with the Netherlands on 9 December. The Netherlands beat the USA with the score 3:1.
