Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 17 August, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Uzbekistan, the Sixth meeting of the Club of former graduates of Japanese universities was held at the official residence of the Ambassador of Japan in Uzbekistan. The main purpose of this event is to strengthen the links between former graduates of various educational programs.
In his welcoming speech, Ambassador Fujiyama wished all those present continued success in their professional activities. Then the new chairman of the Former Japanese Alumni Club (UJUAC) was introduced and brief information about the activities of the club was given. Also, as part of the event, an excerpt from the documentary "Silk Strings" on the topic of friendly ties between Japan and Uzbekistan was shown.
In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Aziz Abdukhakimov, who is an outstanding former graduate active in Uzbekistan, also welcomed the participant.
At the end of the official part, a buffet was organized, which served dishes of Japanese cuisine, prepared by the chef of the residence Miyahara Masanobu.
