The 2nd meeting of the Working Group on cooperation in the field of agriculture of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States was held

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3-6 July 2022, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a meeting of the ministers of agriculture of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Hungary and Turkmenistan) and Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), as well as the Agroforum of Turkic States was held in Tashkent.

Today, on 3 July, the 2nd meeting of the Working Group on cooperation in the field of agriculture of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTG) began. Today’s meeting, which is the first of the expected high-level events, is attended by the heads and representatives of the delegations of the OTS member states.

The Ministers of Agriculture of the OTS and ECO member countries visited our country in connection with four-day meetings, including B2B meetings. In addition, the general secretaries of the OTS and the ECO are visiting Uzbekistan. 

The main purpose of the meeting with the participation of the Ministers of Agriculture of the OTS member countries is to assess the existing multilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture and exchange views on the areas of mutual cooperation between the OTS member countries and observers. 

The Agroforum of the Turkic States, which is expected to bring together more than 200 large manufacturing companies, will focus on expanding economic cooperation in the agro-industrial complex, including the implementation of mutually beneficial projects between member states and observers, mutual trade and investment mobilization.
