Prices for cement, liquefied gas and coal decreased at the UZEX

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- For the period from 16 to 22 May, goods worth 3.38 trillion soums were sold on all trading platforms of the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange (UZEX), which is 32.8% more than the previous week. Of these, 70.1% of sales came from exchange auctions, 0.1% - from exhibition and fair sales, 29.6% - from government purchases, and 0.2% - from online auctions of license plates.

The total volume of transactions involving small businesses and private entrepreneurship amounted to 908.3 billion soums. As a result of electronic auctions for public procurement, the total savings of budgetary and corporate customers amounted to 88.1 billion soums.

During the period under review, 2,907 license plates were sold in the amount of 6.1 billion soums through an online auction. As a result of competitive bidding, 3.9% of completed transactions were for premium autonumbers; 6.7% of transactions in the 2nd category; 5.8% for the 3rd category; 8.2% for the 4th category; 24.3% for the 5th category; as well as 51.1% for the 6th category of license plates. 

Exchange trading

During the reporting period, commodity resources worth 2.37 tr illion soums were sold at open exchange auctions. Selling enterprises put goods up for exchange auctions in accordance with the approved schedules, including: 

Cement

During the past week, 177,451.0 tons of cement were sold. The daily volume of cement sales averaged 35.5 thousand tons.

During the period under review, the daily average price for cement of all grades decreased from 597.4 thousand soums to 592.4 thousand soums per ton. An average of 279 buyers took part in exchange trading daily.

Liquefied gas

On the exchange market of liquefied natural gas, a decrease in prices was recorded. During the past week, 1,826.0 tons of liquefied gas were put up for sale, of which all 100.0% were sold.

During the period under review, the daily average price for liquefied gas decreased from 7.17 million soums to 5.61 million soums per ton, or by 21.8%.

As a result of exchange trading, the weekly weighted average price for liquefied gas amounted to 6.41 million soums per ton.

Coal

During the past week, 6,570.0 tons of coal were put up for sale, of which 5,999.0 tons, or 91.3%, were sold. The daily sales volume averaged 1,200.0 tons.

During the period under review, the daily average price for coal decreased from 306.000 soums to 243,000 soums per ton, or by 20.5%, the PR department of UzEX reported.
