Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Over the past week, that is, for the period of 2-8 May, goods worth 1.74 trillion soums were sold on all trading platforms of the JSC "Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange" (UZEX), which is 31.1% less than the previous week. Of these, 79.1% of sales came from exchange auctions, 0.6% - from exhibition and fair sales, 20.0% - from government purchases, and 0.3% - from online auctions of license plates.

The total volume of transactions involving small businesses and private entrepreneurship amounted to 485.7 billion soums. As a result of electronic auctions for public procurement, the total savings of budgetary and corporate customers amounted to 46.9 billion soums.

During the period under review, 2,347 license plates worth 5.7 billion soums were sold through an online auction. As a result of competitive bidding, 5.2% of completed transactions were for premium autonumbers; 8.0% of transactions for the 2nd category; 7.5% for the 3rd category; 10.6% for the 4th category; 21.4% for the 5th category; as well as 47.3% for the 6th category of license plates.

Exchange trading

During the reporting period, commodity resources worth 1.38 trillion soums were sold at open exchange auctions. Selling enterprises put goods up for exchange auctions in accordance with the approved schedules, including:

Sugar

A drop in prices was recorded on the sugar exchange market. During the past week, 6,020.0 tons of sugar were put up for sale, of which 99.8% were sold. An average of 377 buyers took part in exchange trading daily. The daily volume of sugar sales averaged 2,003.0 thousand tons.

During the period under review, the daily average price for sugar of all categories decreased from 10,058.0 thousand soums to 9,999.3 thousand soums per ton.

Liquefied gas

On the exchange market of liquefied natural gas, a decrease in prices was recorded. During the past week, 1,365.0 tons of liquefied gas were put up for sale, of which all 100.0% were sold.

During the period under review, the daily average price for liquefied gas decreased from 6,468.8 thousand soums to 6,326.8 thousand soums per ton, or by 2.2%.

As a result of exchange trading, the weekly weighted average price for liquefied gas amounted to 6,394.9 thousand soums per ton.

Coal

During the past week, 5,478.0 tons of coal were put up for sale, of which 5,274.0 tons, or 96.3%, were sold. The daily sales volume averaged 1,758.0 tons.

During the period under review, the daily average price for coal decreased from 357.0 thousand soums to 291.1 thousand soums per ton, or by 18.5%.
