The exchange price of sugar declines comparatively

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Following the results of open exchange trading held on 18 March 2022 at the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, the daily average price for sugar of all categories decreased by 15.3% compared to the previous trading day, from 11.92 million soums to 10.1 million soums per ton.
Over the past trading day, 2,100 tons of sugar were put up for exchange trading, of which the entire volume was sold. At the same time, Khorazm Shakar LLC sold 1,200 tons of sugar through exchange trading and Angren Shakar LLC - 900 tons of sugar.
The number of buyers who took part in the exchange auctions for sugar increased to 267 participants, which is 32% more than on 17 March and three times more than on 1 March.
In the purchase of sugar, a balanced distribution of goods among regions is formed, depending on the level of demand. Relatively leading positions were occupied by the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region (30%), Samarkand region (12%), Kashkadarya and Khorezm regions (10% each), Andijan and Bukhara regions (8% each).
On 17 March, the Antimonopoly Committee issued instructions for the sale through exchange trading of at least 2,000 tons of sugar per day, one ton in each lot and each buyer a maximum of 20 tons in one trading session, while ensuring equal conditions for all participants.
