Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the international exhibition Expo 2020 and the organized Energy Week of Uzbekistan, a meeting was held with the participation of representatives of Uzbekneftegaz JSC and the German company Clariant.
At the meeting, a Memorandum of Bilateral Cooperation was signed between Uzbekistan GTL LLC and Clariant. This Memorandum provides for the supply of the necessary chemical products to the GTL plant.
Clariant is one of the world’s leading companies in the production of specialty chemicals for the oil and gas industry.
Clariant has branches, representations and 40 factories in more than 100 countries of the world. The company’s facilities produce chemicals, natural resources, catalysts and catalytic technologies for home and industry, plastics and coatings.
At the same time, the research and development of the company is focused on the main trends of today. These include energy efficiency, renewable raw materials, low-emission transport and conservation of natural resources.
At the meeting, representatives of Clariant expressed interest in another major project being implemented by Uzbekneftegaz - "Expanding the production capacities of the Shurtan gas chemical complex."
Within the framework of the project, the possibility of supplying a catalyst for equipment for the production of polypropylene was discussed. Foreign experts spoke in detail about the advantages of catalysts produced by the German company.
