Domestic textile, leather and footwear products to be presented at the largest European exhibitions
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A business tour of representatives of domestic textile, leather and footwear enterprises, organized by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which will be held from 1 to 11 December 2021 in Poland, Italy, France and Spain, has been launched.
The tour is organized in order to effectively use the preferences of the General System of Preferences of the European Union "GSP +", the beneficiary status of which Uzbekistan received in April this year, as well as to promote the national product and brands in the largest European markets. This status gives the right to duty-free import of more than 6,200 commodity items into the EU countries, including a wide range of goods from the textile, leather and footwear industries.
More than 50 large entrepreneurs and exporters of Uzbekistan, over 200 European enterprises, trading companies and manufacturers will take part in the events held as part of the business tour.
The tour began in Warsaw (Poland), where the largest European textile exhibition "Fast Textile" will take place from 1 to 3 December, at which 44 Uzbek manufacturers of the textile, garment and knitwear industry will present their products.
It should be noted that such a number of domestic enterprises have never participated in international exhibitions at the same time.
The next events within the business tour will be organized in the cities of Milan (Italy) and Paris (France), where a business forum and B2B negotiations will be organized with the participation of the world’s largest brands in a hybrid format. It is also planned to hold presentations on the latest achievements in the textile, leather and footwear industry of Uzbekistan, the prospects for the implementation of joint projects with European manufacturers and the possibilities of cooperation with large brands.
The final round of events will take place in the industrial cities of Spain - Barcelona and Valencia, where a business forum and business meetings with representatives of the Spanish light industry will also be held.
The business tour promises to be an effective tool for deepening partnerships between Uzbek manufacturers and industry associations with the foreign business community, bearing in mind specific agreements on the implementation of joint investment projects and mutually beneficial trade agreements.
