Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit the Republic of Turkey on 11-12 November to participate in the events of the next summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States, which will be held in the city of Istanbul.
It should be noted that this is the first foreign visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev after his re-election to the post of President of Uzbekistan.
The agenda of the upcoming summit meeting includes issues of expanding multifaceted relations within the Council, primarily in the field of trade, investment, green economy, digital technologies, transport and communications, as well as cultural and humanitarian exchange. Issues of further improvement of the organization's activities will also be considered.
Following the summit, it is expected to adopt joint documents aimed at increasing the efficiency of interaction and deepening multilateral cooperation in priority areas.
The program of the visit of the head of our state also envisages a number of bilateral meetings in the city of Istanbul.
The Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States was established in 2009 in order to promote comprehensive relations between the member countries of this structure.
Currently, the members of the Council are Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Our country joined the organization in 2019. Hungary has observer status in the Turkic Council.
