Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The repair of the gas pipeline supplying gas to the Navoi TPP has been completed, the power units of the thermal power plant have been launched, the press service of the Ministry of Energy said.
According to the latest data, a malfunction on gas pipeline No. 2 has been eliminated, in connection with which the gas supply through the Navoi-4 gas distribution station was suspended.
As previously reported, today, 7 July at 05:48 a gas leak occurred in the gas pipeline No. 2, through which natural gas is supplied to the combined-cycle equipment of the Navoi thermal power plant (TPP).
The detected fistula (breakthrough point) on the gas pipeline was eliminated at 12:45 pm, filling of the collectors began and gas was supplied to the Navoi TPP at 13:15.
Power unit No. 8, No. 9 and the combined cycle gas turbine at Navoi TPP began supplying electricity to the general grid at 16:09.
