Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekneftegaz is building a hydrogen filling station on the basis of the Ustyurt geochemical complex.
The implementation of the project will provide for the import substitution of high-purity hydrogen (99.999%) used for analyzers in the management department and the central plant laboratory.
It should be noted that today the Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex needs 950 hydrogen cylinders per year, which is an average of US$209 per cylinder. Hydrogen is imported from the Russian Federation, South Korea, the People’s Republic of China and other states.
The implementation of this project will ensure the uninterrupted operation of the online analyzers of the complex due to import substitution and elimination of problems with high-purity hydrogen.
The cost of the project is US$150,000, it is financed from the company’s own funds. The project is being implemented in accordance with the working documentation prepared by the design institute East-West Engineering LLC.
The plant has an annual capacity of 15,000 m3 of hydrogen gas. This capacity makes it possible to obtain excess volumes of high-purity hydrogen (about 9000 m3 per year) and sell them on the domestic market of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Implementation of the project will save about USD 200 thousand per year.
Currently, within the framework of this project, the construction of a hydrogen filling station has been fully completed and the production of products has begun in accordance with the design documentation.
