Uzbek DPM: Uzbekistan to continue implementing large-scale socio-economic reforms

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov has taken part in the Astana Finance Days conference.

The central theme of the conference was the impact of the pandemic on the global economy and market development, as well as ways to restore economic growth.

The conference program included several thematic discussions on the global economy, innovative financial technologies, capital markets, Islamic finance, human capital development, green economy, women’s economic empowerment, educational technology and other spheres.

Uzbekistan was represented at the event by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov. He shared his vision on further measures to overcome current challenges and ensure sustainable economic growth.

It was noted that despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, Uzbekistan will continue to implement large-scale socio-economic reforms, which have become irreversible in recent years.

The importance of uniting efforts to improve the investment climate in Central Asia and strengthening the transport and logistics connectivity of the countries of the region was noted, including through the active involvement of the expert community to discuss opportunities for cooperation in these areas at various discussion platforms.
