Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A round table “Russia - Uzbekistan: developing mutually beneficial cooperation in agriculture” was held in Tashkent, which was attended by representatives of Russian companies, Uzbek state and public structures, participants and visitors of the exhibition.
The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan Oleg Malginov wished successful negotiations and achievement of the set goals to the Russian exhibitors, their Uzbek partners and all participants of the round table. He noted the great importance of Russian-Uzbek cooperation in the field of agriculture.
Dmitry Dynnikov, Deputy Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan, presented information on the current state and future prospects of cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan in the agricultural sector.
Pavel Bukhanov, the head of the representative office of the Russian Export Center JSC in Uzbekistan, spoke about the existing measures of state support for the export of Russian agricultural machinery to Uzbekistan. He gave practical advice to exporting companies on how to operate in Central Asian markets.
Great interest was aroused by the speech of the chairman of the board of the leasing company "Uzagroleasing" Nodir Otajonov, dedicated to the established practice of working with foreign manufacturers of agricultural machinery, as well as the requirements for purchased equipment and suppliers.
Botur Yusupov, Deputy General Director of Uzbek Leasing, who spoke at the round table, presented his company's plans for the procurement of machinery and equipment for agriculture for the near future and gave a number of practical advice to potential suppliers.
Andrei Kolesnikov, Director of the Sales Department for Asian Markets at Rostselmash, shared his experience of entering the Uzbek market and plans for further work. His speech raised many questions. Russian participants, in particular, were interested in the terms of cooperation of Uzbek dealers with foreign manufacturers of agricultural machinery, organization of service.
The head of the department for support of producers of medicinal plants and spices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Holboyev spoke about measures to support small businesses in the agricultural sector.
At the end of the round table, all participants thanked the speakers and organizers of the event - the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and Expocentre AO - for the opportunity to get new important business contacts and useful first-hand information, to personally get acquainted with key figures in the Uzbek market.
