The Uzbek delegation is studying the situation with the protection of the rights of our compatriots in Russia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of our country headed by the First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Director of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akmal Saidov is in the Russian Federation.
The delegation included representatives of the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights and the Office of the Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights, headed by Ombudsman Feruza Eshmatova.
On 17 May, members of the Uzbek delegation met with Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Council for Human Rights and Development of Civil Society under the President of Russia Valery Fadeev and the Commissioner of the Russian Federation for Human Rights Tatyana Moskalkova.
During the negotiations, the main directions of future cooperation in ensuring the rights of migrants and creating additional opportunities for them were identified.
The Uzbek delegation also visited the Center for Temporary Detention of Migrants of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow, as well as the Moscow Multifunctional Migration Center in Sakharovo.
In the process of joint admission, these institutions received applications from more than 20 Uzbek labor migrants. If necessary, our compatriots were provided with legal advice on ensuring their rights.
The purpose of the visit is to visit the facilities where our compatriots live and work in foreign countries, communicate with them and study the living conditions, work and health of Uzbeks.
The members of the delegation will also take part in the Uzbek-Russian forum "The rights of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation: labor migrants and their families."
