Industrial cooperation agreement comes into force for Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 May 2021, the Agreement on cooperation in the field of industry and the establishment of the Council for Industrial Policy of the CIS member states comes into force for the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The document envisages the interaction of the Parties in the field of industry in order to conduct a coordinated industrial policy, as well as organizational and legal issues of the activities of the Council for Industrial Policy of the CIS member states.
The competent authority responsible for the implementation of the Agreement, including interaction within the framework of the Industrial Policy Council of the CIS member states, has been designated the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan’s participation in this Agreement contributes to:
- ensuring sustainable development and increasing the competitiveness of all industries;
- creating favorable conditions for innovative development in industries;
- the formation of mutually beneficial cooperation ties between enterprises of industries;
- expansion of production chains by diversifying the production of industrial products.
