Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January-March 2021, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 91.5 trillion soums, the index of physical volume of industrial production by the same period in 2020 amounted to 103.8%, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (80.1%), the volume of production of which amounted to 73.4 trillion soums.
The main factors of growth in the physical volume of industrial production were its increase in manufacturing enterprises - by 4.6%, in electricity supply, gas, steam and air conditioning - by 10.1%, in water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal - by 1.0%.
The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-March 2021 amounted to 9.5 trillion soums, or 10.4% of the total industry.
Manufacturing enterprises in January-March 2021 produced goods for 73.3 trillion soums, or 80.1% of the total industry.
In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries was 2.5% (1.9% in January-March 2020), medium-high-tech - 19.2% (25.1%), medium-low-tech - 40.1% (37.6%) and low-tech - 38.2% (35.4%).
In the volume of the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, assembly of machinery and equipment, the production of cars, trailers, semi-trailers and other finished products amounted to 15.4% (the physical volume index amounted to 88.5% against January-March 2020), the metallurgical industry - 28.2% (+7.9%), enterprises for the production of textile, clothing and leather products - 19.5% (+15.4%), for the production of food, drinks and tobacco products - 16.4% (+6.9%), enterprises for the production of chemical products, rubber and plastic products - 9.8% (+17.8%).
In January-March 2021, the republic produced 291.3 thousand tons of motor gasoline (an increase of 3.0% compared to the corresponding period of 2020), 141.9 thousand tons of cotton yarn (12.4%), 40.7 million liters of beer (21.6%) and 450.8 thousand tons of flour from soft wheat and spelled (decrease by 3.1%).
In January-March 2021, 891 trucks were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2020, the volume of production decreased by 12.1%).
In January-March 2021, 147 buses were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2020, there was a decrease in production by 52.9%).
In January-March 2021, 31.5 thousand units of automobile engines were produced in the republic (a decrease of 51.2% compared to the corresponding period of 2020).

In the automotive industry in January-March 2021, 12 682 Cobalt cars were produced (-28,6%), 6 958 - Nexia (-66,4%), 8 399 - Gentra (-41.9%), 12 051 - Damas (-7.1%), 1 800 - Spark (-78.2%) and 2 564 - Labo (+74.4%).
The overhaul of the technological equipment allowed to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and to exceed the production figures of the previous year for the production of methyl alcohol (10.1 times by January-March 2020), paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (193.8%) and caustic soda (in 2.0 times). At the same time, there is a decrease in the production of ammonium sulfate (63.9% compared to January-March 2020).
If in January-March 2020 the share of the metallurgical industry in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 23.9%, and the physical volume index increased by 2.8%, then in January-March 2021 the share of the industry in the manufacturing industry was 28.2 %, the index of physical volume increased by 7.9%, while the volume of production amounted to 20.66 trillion soums.
In January-March 2020, the share of production of other non-metallic mineral products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 4.8%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period of 2019, increased by 9.0%. In January-March 2021, the share of other non-metallic mineral products amounted to 4.8%, the index of physical production increased by 2.7%, and the volume of production amounted to 3.52 trillion soums.
If in January-March 2020 the share of food production in the manufacturing industry amounted to 12.8%, and the physical volume index, in relation to 2019, reached 103.3%, then in January-March 2021 the share of food amounted to 13.5%, the index of physical volume increased by 7.5%, the total production amounted to 9880.0 billion soums.
At the end of January-March 2020, the share of beverage production in the structure of the processing industry amounted to 2.2%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period of 2019, increased by 9.7%. In January-March 2021, the share of beverage production was 2.3%, the physical volume index was 106.2%, and the production volume reached 1.65 trillion soums.
At the end of January-March 2020, the share of the production of textiles in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 13.3%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, amounted to 109.7%. In January-March 2021, the share of textile production amounted to 15.7%, the index of the physical volume of their production increased by 19.1%, and the production volume amounted to 11 528.7 billion soums.
If in January-March 2020 the share of clothing production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 3.2%, and the physical volume index was 93.6%, then in January-March 2021 the share of the industry in the manufacturing industry was 3.3%, the index physical volume - 109.8%, production volume reached 2.41 trillion soums.
In January-March 2020, the share of chemical production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 7.9%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, amounted to 100.5%. In January-March 2021, the share of chemical products amounted to 8.0%, the index of physical volume of production increased by 20.5 and the volume of production amounted to 5 886.0 billion soums.
At the end of January-March 2020, the share of coke and product production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 4.7%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, increased by 6.0%. In January-March 2021, the share of coke and refined products production amounted to 3.1%, the physical volume index also decreased by 37.6%, and the production volume amounted to 2 259.3 billion soums.
At the end of January-March 2020, the share of production of vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 13.3%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period of 2019, reached 116.1%. In January-March 2021, the share of this industry amounted to 7.6%, the physical volume index decreased by 38.1%, and the production volume amounted to 5 573.1 billion soums.
At the end of January-March 2020, the share of the production of rubber and plastic products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 1.9%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period of 2019, decreased by 6.1%. In January-March 2021, the share of this industry was 1.8%, the volume index was 105.6%, and the production volume was 1 291.2 billion soums.
The volume of products produced by the enterprises of electricity supply, gas supply, steam and air conditioning amounted to 7.9 trillion soums (8.7% of the total industry). The index of the physical volume of the industry, compared to the corresponding period of 2020, increased by 10.1%
The volume of products produced by enterprises of water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal amounted to 0.8 trillion soums (0.8% of the total industry).
Compared to the corresponding period of 2020, there was an increase in services for the emptying, cleaning and treatment of cesspools, sedimentation tanks and septic tanks by 32.2%, as well as services for the removal, transportation of wastewater and their treatment - by 42.8% a decrease in the production of textile waste by 3.0% was recorded.
As a result of measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the production of finished products, the production of consumer goods amounted to 27.5 trillion soums and, in comparison with the corresponding period of 2020, the growth rate reached 102.7%, the share in the total industry was 30.1%.
In the structure of food production, the production of wine and vodka products and beer amounted to 6.7% (7.9 % in January-March 2020). In the structure of consumer goods production in the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (20.8% of the total volume of consumer goods), Andijan (16.4%), Tashkent (11.5%), and Samarkand (10.7%) regions. The largest growth in consumer goods production was recorded in Jizzakh (+25.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2020), Bukhara (+23.5%), Samarkand (+20.3%), Syrdarya (+17.1%) regions and Tashkent city (+20.5%), exceeding the national average (+2.7%).
In the structure of production of non-food products of the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (20.9% of the total volume of non-food products), Andijan (23.3%), Samarkand (10.3%) and Tashkent (8.8%) regions.

During the reporting period, enterprises with foreign investments produced goods worth 23.1 trillion soums, the share of which in the total production volume was 25.2%.
The change in industrial production was significantly influenced by the growth in the index of the physical volume of industrial production in Kashkadarya (+24.1% compared to January-March 2020), Khorezm (+17.0%), Jizzakh (+16.1%), Syrdarya (+10.6%), Navoi (+9.3%), regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (+9.4%).
In the structure of industrial output of the republic, the largest share falls on the enterprises of Tashkent city (17.5% of the republican volume of industry), Navoi (18.2%), Tashkent (17.8%), Andijan (7.2%) and Fergana (5.6%) regions. The smallest share of industrial production was recorded at the enterprises of Surkhandarya (1.3%) and Jizzakh (1.6%) regions.
Analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita showed an excess of the national average (2 643.3 thousand soums) in Navoi (16 424.1 thousand soums), Tashkent (5 451.8 thousand soums), Syrdarya (2 694.5 thousand soums) regions and Tashkent city (5 906.4 thousand soums).
The production of consumer goods per capita in the reporting period in the republic amounted to 795.0 thousand soums, including in Tashkent - 2120.5 thousand soums, Andijan region - 1412.1 thousand soums, Tashkent region - 1065.6 thousand soums.
During the reporting period, small businesses produced goods worth 20.3 trillion soums, the share of which in the total production volume was 22.2%. In terms of regions, the largest share of small business was observed in Jizzakh region (49.4% of the total industrial volume of the region), Samarkand (39.5%), Namangan (38.8%), Fergana (38.0%) and Syrdarya (32.9%) regions.
At the same time, the smallest share of small business was noted in Navoi (5.1%), Tashkent (16.8%) and Khorezm (19.8%) Kashkadarya (21.6%) regions, as well as in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (14.6 Analysis of the structure of industrial production in the context of the regions of the republic showed that the low share of production of small businesses in the total volume of industry is explained by the significant production volume of large industrial enterprises located in these regions.
Today, 85.5 thousand industrial enterprises operate in the republic, of which 15.9 thousand (18.6% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in the city of Tashkent, 9.4 thousand (10.9%) - in Fergana, 8.8 thousand (10.3%) - Tashkent, 8.7 thousand (10.1%) - Andijan, 7.3 thousand (8.5%) - Samarkand and 6.8 thousand (8, 0%) - Namangan region.
In January-March 2021, 5614 industrial enterprises were newly created in the republic, of which 627 (11.2% of the total number of newly created) accounted for Fergana, 558 (9.9%) - Samarkand, 534 (9.5%) - Namangan, 440 (7.8%) - Tashkent region and 606 (10.8%) - Tashkent city.
To date, the largest number of operating industrial enterprises are located in the cities of Andijan (3 166 units), Namangan (2 613 units), Samarkand (1 651 units), Kokand (1 450 units), as well as in the following districts of the city of Tashkent: Almazar (2 132 units), Chilanzar (1 980 units), Uchtepa (1 890 units), Yunusabad (1 727 units), Shaikhantakhur (1 424 units) and Mirzo-Ulugbek (1 310 units).
As of April 1, 2021, the minimum number of operating industrial enterprises is located in the city of Shirin (59 units), Syrdarya region; Tamdy (62 units) and Gazgan (27 units) districts of Navoi region; Arnasai (87 units) and Yangiabad (67 units) districts of Jizzakh region; Kegeili (81 units), Kanlykulsky (67 units), Takhtakupyr (75 units) and Bozatau (31 units) districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan; Bandikhan district (51 units), Surkhandarya region.
The development of industrial production in the republic was also facilitated by the implementation of the Program for the localization of production of finished products, components and materials, within the framework of which, under 1 323 projects, products worth 5.7 trillion soums were produced, localized products worth U$57.3 million were exported, 2 564 new jobs. Compared to the same period in 2020, in January-March 2021, the number of newly created jobs increased by 29.7%. At the same time, if we compare it with January-March 2020, there is an increase in the volume of exports of localized products.
