Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Japan holds a number of meetings

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 April, the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan Gayrat Fazilov, on the eve of the completion of his mission, held a number of bilateral meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Parliament and the Imperial Palace Agency to discuss the development of bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Takashi Uto, an exchange of views took place on the further expansion of the strategic partnership between the two countries, as well as support for the candidacies of the two countries within the framework of international organizations.
Issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed with the deputy of the House of Representatives of the Parliament, the head of the Executive Committee of the Japanese Parliamentary League of Friendship with Uzbekistan, Keisuke Suzuki. The parties highly noted the relevance and effectiveness of the next Inter-Parliamentary Forum "Uzbekistan-Japan", held on 3 March 2021 in videoconference mode.
During separate meetings with the Director of the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Atsushi Kaifu and the Deputy Grand Master of Ceremonies of the Agency of the Imperial Palace Toshiro Iijima, the parties noted the successful nature and fruitfulness of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Japan in 2019, which opened a qualitatively new page in bilateral relations, and also created a solid foundation for further strengthening cooperation and strategic partnership between Japan and the Renewed Uzbekistan.
