Online negotiations between representatives of IICA and UNESCO takes place

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 13 April, in the format of a video conference, negotiations were held between representatives of the International Institute of Central Asia (IICA) and UNESCO.
During the meeting, Deputy Director of the Institute Bakhtiyor Mustafayev and UNESCO Representative in Uzbekistan, Head of UNESCO Representative Office in Tashkent Jan Hladik discussed prospects for establishing cooperation between the two institutions and the possibility of holding joint events in areas of mutual interest.
Jan Hladik has been the Representative of UNESCO in the Republic of Uzbekistan and Head of the UNESCO Delegation in Tashkent since November 2019.
Today, directly with the assistance of the UNESCO office in Uzbekistan, 15 projects are being implemented for a total of more than US$2 million in such topical areas as youth policy, employment, gender equality, protection of cultural heritage, human security.
