INNOPROM-2021: A loan agreement for 52.85 million euros was signed
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Within the framework of the INNOPROM-2021 exhibition held under the auspices of the "Largest Industrial Week of Uzbekistan", a number of agreements on cooperation, promising projects, further interaction, etc. were signed between the business community and representatives of the business community.
Within the framework of the exhibition area, headed by the acting Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbekiston Temir Yollari" H. Khasilov met with the head of JSC "Russian Export Center". Issues of cooperation and promising projects were discussed at the round table.
According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 12 January 2021 No.PP-4943 “On the implementation of the project“ Acquisition of ten metro trains for the overground line of the Tashkent metro ”, a contract was signed between Toshkent Metro UE and Metrovagonmash JSC (Russian Federation) purchase of ten trains (40 cars) for the Tashkent metro in the amount of 52.85 million euros. Within the framework of the international industrial exhibition, on April 5 this year, a loan agreement was signed to finance the purchase.
The signing ceremony was attended by Acting Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbekiston Temir Yollari" - Head of the unitary enterprise "Toshkent Metro" O. Khudoykulov and General Director of JSC "Russian Export Center" V. Nikishina. The sources of financing are loans from the State Corporation Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (EUR 30.45 million) and the Russian Export-Import Bank (EUR 22.40 million).
Expenses associated with the repayment of loans attracted within the framework of the project, as well as the payment of interest, commissions and other expenses on them, are made at the expense of the State budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the agreement, the delivery of the first 5 subway trains (in 4-car version), modern and adapted to the climate of our country, will be carried out this summer. And the arrival of the remaining 5 trains (also, each with 4 cars) is planned until the end of 2021. The service life of new metro cars is up to 30 years.
