Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Presidential Decree “On additional measures to provide the population with housing through the allocation of mortgage loans based on market principles” was adopted.

According to the Decree, in order to reduce housing prices starting from 1 April 2021, within the framework of the new order:

- multi-apartment residential buildings are built in the form of arrays in rural areas of 5 or more floors, in cities - from 9 or more floors on the basis of monolithic reinforced concrete and large-panel structures, as well as other building materials;

- a separate exchange trading section for cement and metal rolling is being introduced, intended for organizations engaged in the construction of housing

- until 1 October  2021, when importing cement products into the territory of Uzbekistan (TN VED code 2523), a zero rate of customs duty is applied.

By 1 May  2021, standard designs of individual residential buildings will be developed and posted on the official website of the Ministry of Construction.
