UZSE records deals for 17.30 billion soums in January

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In January 2021, 3,014 transactions for 17.30 billion soums were concluded at Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE). The objects of transactions were 30.13 million securities of 63 issuers.

On a daily basis, the largest number of deals was concluded towards the end of the first decade - 290 deals - on 8 January; the smallest - 3 days earlier - 84 transactions. The largest volume of transactions was recorded on January 26, when during the day the volume of transactions amounted to more than 5.35 billion soums.

Average daily number of transactions in January - 151 units; the average daily volume of transactions is 864.96 billion soums. The volume of an average transaction on the Main Board of the Stock Market amounted to 4.69 million soums.

In January, only one deal was recorded on the Nego Board of the stock market for 1.42 billion soums. As a result of the deal, 102 thousand common shares of O'ztashqineftgaz JSC (UTNG) changed their owners. In addition, within a month, within the framework of the public offering, a deal was concluded with common shares of Neftgaztadqiqot JSC (NGTQ) in the amount of 1.74 billion soums.

The largest number of transactions in January 2021 was recorded with common shares of JSC "O'zbekiston respublika tovarxomashyo birjasi" (URTS) and JSC "Kvarts" (KVTS) - 474 each. With common shares of JSC "Qizilqumsement" (QZSM) and JSCB "Hamkorbank »(HMKB) 374 and 369 deals were recorded, respectively.

The largest trading volume in January was recorded with the preferred shares of Kapitalbank (KPBA1). The deals with KPBA1 were made as part of the initial offering. The first deal was made on October 27, 2020, and as of January 31, 54.70% of preferred shares were successfully placed for a total of 85.73 billion soums.

During the period under review, 24 transactions were made, the price of which ranged from 3,862.7 to 4,004.46 soums. The weighted average price was 3,917.99 soums, with the nominal price of shares being 950 soums.

With common shares of O'zbekiston respublika tovar-xomashyo birjasi (URTS) JSC, the volume of transactions amounted to 4.60 billion soums. The volume of transactions with common shares of JSC "Biokimyo" (BIOK) exceeded 1 billion soums. Transactions with common shares of Toshkentvino kombinati JSC (TKVK), Uzmetkombinat JSC and Kvarts JSC (KVTS) formed a volume in the range of 600-650 million soums.

The banking sector became the leader in terms of the industry, both in terms of the number and the volume of transactions. 995 transactions with banks' securities formed 5.49 billion soums, of which almost 93% fell on the share of preferred shares of Kapitalbank (KPBA1). Transactions with KPBA1 were made as part of the initial offering.

Despite the relatively small number of transactions (50), the volume of transactions with securities of issuers from the energy sector amounted to 3.19 billion soums. 52 transactions were concluded with securities of representatives of the agro-industrial complex for a total of 1.81 billion soums.

The indicator of the construction and industrial sectors in terms of the volume of transactions amounted to 1.04 and 0.73 billion soums, and by the number of transactions - 869 and 389, respectively. The lowest result in terms of both the number and the volume of transactions is with the transport industry.

As of 31 January 2021, the total capitalization of issuers included in the exchange quotation list amounted to 58.81 trillion soums. From 4 to 29 January, the indicator increased by 6.64%. During the period under review, the lowest indicator was recorded on January 13 at 54.68 trillion soums, and the highest - on January 29 - 58.81 trillion soums.
