Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan led by the Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Berik Kamaliev.
Enhancing cooperation between the two countries was discussed at the event. In particular, views were exchanged on the joint implementation of infrastructure projects. Issues on the implementation of the project for the construction of a railway for high-speed trains on Turkestan – Shymkent – Tashkent line, the construction of a new railway line Maktaaral – Darbaza were considered.
During the talks between the Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Kamaliev and the Acting Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Makhkamov, issues of increasing the intensity of existing and creating new flight routes between the two countries, in particular, establishing permanent flights from Kazakhstan to Samarkand and Urgench and back, were also discussed.
