Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- According to the State Statistics Committee, in 2020, 1,023 enterprises of the metallurgical industry produced goods worth 79.2 trillion soums.

Compared to the corresponding period of last year, the index of the physical volume of this industry made up 106.3%.

Regions with the largest share in the total volume of products manufactured by metallurgical enterprises on a national scale:

Navoi region - 55.9%

Tashkent region - 36.0%

Tashkent city - 6.1%

In 2020, products of the metallurgical industry were exported in the amount of US$1.2 billion, which made up 8.2% of the total export of the republic.
