Uzbekistan Table Tennis Championship starts
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan table tennis championship among adults started in Yukori Chirchik district of Tashkent region.
About 120 athletes take part in the competitions, which are organized by the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan and the country’s table tennis federation.
The opening ceremony was attended by the chairman of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov and the Secretary General of the organization Oybek Kasymov, representatives of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, the leadership of the Table Tennis Federation of Uzbekistan.
Those present at the ceremony, in particular, the chairman of the NOC of Uzbekistan Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, emphasized that the President creates all the necessary conditions for the popularization of Olympic sports, including table tennis. Also, the head noted that many projects are being implemented to educate professional table tennis players, and, of course, this will help that in the future they will be able to win prizes at the Asian and World Championships, as well as at the Olympic Games.
After the opening, the participants of the championship began to compete.
