Uzbekistan, South Korea to organize expert group in the field of e-government and digital economy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Public Administration and Security of the Republic of Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding on organizing the activities of the Uzbek-Korean expert group within the framework of cooperation in the field of e-government and digital economy.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sh. Sadikov and the Minister of Public Administration and Security of the Republic of Korea Yong Chin.

On 22 November 2017, in the city of Seoul, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Public Administration and Security of the Republic of Korea for the further development of e-government and digital economy.

This Memorandum of Understanding was additionally concluded within the framework of the above Memorandum on the development of priority projects and programs in the field of e-government and digital economy together with an expert group.

Priority tasks were identified together with Korean experts:

development of priority projects and programs for the development of e-government and digital economy;

providing consulting services within the framework of the organization of the e-government development plan;

development of state policy in the field of e-government and the establishment of information exchange;

exchange of information within the framework of streamlining organizational and technical work to transfer public services to electronic format;

exchange of experience for the further development of the e-government system;

implementation of additional priority projects in accordance with the e-government and digital economy development program.

Cooperation with the Republic of Korea, which occupies high positions in world rankings in the digital economy and e-government, will undoubtedly have a positive effect, becoming the foundation for the effective implementation of projects in this direction based on foreign experience, occupying a worthy place for the republic on the world stage, and creating even greater conveniences. for the population.
