The Ministry of Energy analyzes the causes of death of birds at a factory in Kashkadarya region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Ministry of Energy analyzed the causes of the incident at a poultry farm in Yakkabag district of Kashkadarya region, which a number of media outlets linked to a power outage.
An acquaintance with the real state of affairs showed that the Kumush Kuz Fayzi poultry farm uses electricity only for lighting and ventilation of premises. The corresponding contract No. 82 for the supply of electricity was concluded between Kumush Kuz Fayzi LLC and Yakkabag REP on 4 January 2020. According to this agreement, in the event of a power outage, the operation of the workshop ventilation system is carried out by starting a diesel generator.
However, on 19 November, this condition was not met due to the fact that the diesel (summer) fuel of the generator froze, that is, this business entity did not prepare appropriately for the autumn-winter period. As a result, on this day, during periods of short-term power outages from 14:00 to 14:30 and from 17:50 to 20:10, the generator was not started due to its unpreparedness for cold air temperature.
As the head of Kumush Kuz Fayzi LLC, Abdunabi Giyasov, comments on this incident: “We made a mistake - the fuel in our generator was frozen and it could not be started. As a result, we were unable to ensure the operation of the air intake in the room where the birds are kept. Because of this, gaseous ammonia accumulated in the room, which is a product of the vital activity of the chickens and birds themselves, died from its concentration. About 6 thousand birds were lost, but taking into account the total capacity of the poultry farm - 400 thousand birds, we hope to compensate this damage.
At the same time, according to the entrepreneur, he explained these circumstances to everyone who was interested in this and was surprised that information appeared in which the damage from the loss of birds was assigned to electricity suppliers.
All the conditions for interaction between an economic entity and an energy supplying organization are provided for by the terms of the agreement signed by the two parties. In this regard, it is necessary to consider the circumstances of each incident and if the issued technical conditions were met and violations were committed by the enterprise of territorial power grids, then they will necessarily compensate for the corresponding amount of damage. At the same time, the entrepreneur is also obliged to comply with the conditions stipulated by the contract, including those mentioned above.
The Ministry of Energy reminds that for all emerging issues related to energy and gas supply, it is necessary to contact the relevant services, which will be able to professionally analyze the situation and provide an expert opinion based on real facts. Unprofessional interpretation of any events leads to the dissemination of false information, the responsibility for which is provided for by law.
