Uzbekkino and Belarusfilm are preparing a number of joint projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Uzbekistan in the city of Minsk has organized negotiations in the format of video conferencing of representatives of the Uzbekkino National Agency and the Belarusfilm film studio, Dunyo news agency reported.
During the talks, the general director of Uzbekkino Firdavs Abdukhalikov spoke about plans to create films in cooperation with Belarusian colleagues. In particular, the creative team headed by the director and screenwriter Khalil Nasimov has started filming the historical film "Heritage", some of which are being performed in the pavilions of "Belarusfilm". In the future, it is planned to create a film about a woman sniper, the prototype of which will be the legendary Zebo Ganieva; a synopsis of the film about the hero-partisan Mamadali Topiboldiev has also been prepared.
Director of "Belarusfilm" Vladimir Karachevsky expressed the readiness of the Belarusian side to cooperate on joint projects with Uzbek cinematographs. He invited representatives of "Uzbekkino" to visit Belarus and get acquainted with the possibilities of the film studio, exchange experience in casting actors, choosing sites for filming.
Following the online conversation, an agreement was reached on organizing a visit of the Uzbek delegation to Minsk, signing an agreement on joint projects and film production.
