Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Last week, many significant events took place in the history of sports in our country. Earlier we reported that the first tournament in a new sport - polo was held in the capital. And at the end of the week, for the first time, another cricket tournament was organized.

The Cricket Federation was recently established in Uzbekistan. In a short period of time, two of our trainers have been trained at the Indian Cricket Academy and have now begun to train the youth of our country.

At present, two cricket teams have been created in our country: "Barlos" and "Afrosiyob". These two teams played in the ANFA TASHKENT T20 tournament. The competition was watched by the leadership of the National Olympic Committee, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, the Uzbekistan Cricket Federation. We can say that this cricket tournament left a warm impression on the specialists. In the first match, Barlos had the advantage.

For information, the Cricket Federation of Uzbekistan is a non-profit organization recognized by state bodies and other organizations that develops and promotes cricket in the Republic of Uzbekistan, trains athletes, coaches and cricket referees in accordance with international requirements and standards, and also holds competitions in this sport. The Cricket Federation of Uzbekistan was established on 29 November 2019 and registered by certificate No. 910 of the Ministry of Justice.
