Volume of state shares in joint stock companies increased by 53 trillion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the published report of the State Unitary Enterprise “Central Securities Depository”, as of 1 October, the state’s share in the authorized capital of 258 JSCs is 127.56 trillion soums at nominal value. At the same time, the Central Securities Depository itself takes into account state shares in 243 JSCs.

For 9 months of 2020, the state’s share in the authorized capital of JSCs increased by 53.00 trillion soums, with an increase of 1 unit in the number of joint-stock companies with state shares as of 1 October 2020.

At the same time, the share of households. associations (in fact, these are sectoral state holdings in the form of joint-stock companies, also referred to as economic management bodies) are in the authorized capital of 184 joint-stock companies and equal to 4.49 trillion soums at face value. For 9 months of this year their share decreased by 1.44 trillion soums, with a simultaneous decrease by 21 units in the number of joint-stock companies with the share of these associations.

For 9 months, 15 primary share issues (15 joint-stock companies), 53 additional share issues and 1 corporate bond issue were registered with the Central Securities Depository. During the same time, the issues of shares of 11 JSCs due to the termination of their activities, as well as the issues of corporate bonds of 5 JSCs, were removed from the register.

During the reporting period, the Central Securities Depository registered 106 over-the-counter transactions on the transfer of rights to securities of JSC. However, there is no information on the total volume of these transactions in the CSD report. As a rule, one of the parties in OTC transactions with shares registered by the Central Securities Depository is the state.

As of 1 October, 724,200 persons in the country own shares and (or) corporate bonds of domestic JSCs, of which: 60.3 thousand (8.3%) are legal entities. persons and 663.9 thousand (91.7%) - individuals. faces. For 9 months the number of depositors - owners of depository accounts for registering rights to shares and corporate bonds decreased by 9,038 persons.
